Your Bone Vivant: Homes for Dogs Project

0

Hello there, SC dog lovers!

Alright, let’s get serious. There are many dogs out there that do not have a home. Too many! No matter what their circumstances are, their stories, health, appearance – these pups deserve a home of their very own! Coldwell Banker Real Estate, LLC is helping this need with their Homes for Dogs Project.

Coldwell Banker is not just about finding homes for people – they also help find homes for pets too. Coldwell Banker partnered with Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America’s largest nonprofit pet adoption website, to launch the Homes for Dogs Project in 2015 and since have helped find homes for more than 20,000 dogs. Efforts run throughout the year and the Homes for Dogs National Pet Adoption Weekend is September 9th-10th, with events taking place at several shelters throughout middle Tennessee. Susan Sneed, Marketing Director of Coldwell Banker Lakeside Realtors, let us know about what they had planned for the project along with their event coming up on September 9th from 10am to 2pm taking place at their office in Hendersonville and partnering with A Safe Place for Animals in Gallatin. “On our part, we will have dogs from SPA which will be available for adoption, Riptide Shaved Ice will have their truck on site, Acopia Home Loans will have their new tailgate trailer here with hotdogs, Aussie Pet Mobile groomers will be here as well as Hendersonville Preppy Pet. We will have giveaways too,” Susan says. “We will have a photo frame for taking pictures. Our mascot Russell will be here!”

The entire office is excited about their involvement with this project. “We are lucky enough to help people in Hendersonville and middle Tennessee find new homes every day,” said Karlie Kee, Broker-Owner of Coldwell Banker Lakeside Realtors. “Now, we get to extend that service to homeless pets in need. It’s a win-win,” she says.

If you can’t make it out the National Pet Adoption Weekend, you can still help out by making donations to local animal shelters. Even better – head over to an animal shelter to adopt your new pup or get on Adopt-a-Pet.com and find your new family member! Because, the ultimate goal is to get these pups out of the shelters and into their forever home.

Wiggle bottom and slobbery smooches to you and yours!
