This person should be a skilled communicator both written and verbal. Able to interact with the public and provide exemplary customer service to clients, guests and in all company business. This person will be charged with providing sales, event management, marketing, administrative, digital and design support as needed within a growing publishing and integrated marketing company.
Day to day tasks will include but will not be limited to: administrative and office management tasks; assistant to Publisher and Editor with correspondence, etc; special projects, inside sales and sales marketing and development.
Must be able to write press releases and other marketing material content; Online sales and online/social media management, website and content management, produce marketing and sales materials both print and online – as needed; provide advertising traffic management to sales staff, provide administrative support within office to all members of staff, design experience and proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and ability to produce materials through those programs as well as edit photos and provide web content implementation; skills as a photographer preferred.
This is a part/full-time in office position (depending on fulfillment of roles). No benefits package provided.

This position will be located in the Sumner County area of Tennessee, working remotely from a home office but with weekly meetings and responsibilities to be conducted in company office located in Franklin, TN.
This person should be marketing, public relations and sales SUPERSTAR. We are looking for the FACE of our company and magazine for the new Sumner County market and the new YOUR Sumner and yoursumner.com print and digital magazines. This person will help develop the market for sales, content, and partnerships. They will be a networking master, attending events, working with community organizations and leaders and helping to integrate the YOUR brand into Sumner County!
This person, ideally, will be capable of performing the following tasks: strategize and prospect for sales leads, cold call and develop advertising relationships and partnerships; will work with community organizations to market our magazines and brand and to create ongoing partnerships for event sponsorships and business promotions; they will attend events and provide photography of social pics as needed; they will identify and cultivate relationships with writers including both community writers and contributors; ability to write as well is a major PLUS! This person will represent our company and our brand in all things and will meet all guidelines to do so.
Candidate MUST live in Sumner County. Candidate MUST possess reliable transportation, cell phone and personal laptop. Camera for shooting events a plus. This person MUST attend events both during the day and evening as well as weekends as required by job. This person MUST be able to attend at least one weekly meeting in Franklin office. We are hiring an experienced OUTSIDE SALES SUPERSTAR for print and digital platforms. You must have experience and track record of sales success. We are looking for a media savvy social wizard to provide direction for all sales and promotions within a currently (2) publication company.
This person should have experience in and COMFORT in prospecting, researching and cold calling strong advertising candidates within a regional area encompassing two distinct print publications and coordinating websites and social media aspects for both.
This person should be comfortable engaging in both high-level sales opportunities as well as local more mom and pop opportunities. They will be responsible for meeting their own sales goals and driving the success of other sales people and their goals.
This person should have the media no- how to provide market research and ongoing long-term sales strategies for both their own sales efforts and that of the existing sales team.
This person will work in tandem with President of Sales, to direct ongoing monthly sales goals, they will be responsible for aiding in development of strategy and marketing for sales campaigns and special projects.
They will be responsible for developing and maintain sales database, creating promotions for print and especially online sales opportunities.
This person will be responsible for creating the digital strategy of content and advertising for 2 websites promoting Distinctively Southern Places.
Required Skill set should also include: experience in design and maintenance of a WordPress website; must be able to perform daily design and upload of content for websites as needed; must be able to write and develop unique appropriate content for websites and social media as direct correlation to sales ad promotions; must be familiar with SEO and other digital marketing analytics for websites;
This person will also be responsible for daily Social Media creation and interaction on all applicable platforms associated with this company’s brand including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Emma email marketing, Pinterest, You Tube, etc. This role will be responsible for all daily engagement on Social Media; all tie ins to the websites and print products.
This person must be capable of writing strong relevant content, creating marketing strategy and campaigns for social and digital marketing of products, must be detail oriented, enthusiastic and customer service oriented. This role will interact with public and other media leaders in exchange of information, news and other materials and content.
This person will work with other managers and staff in the planning and implementation of overall digital marketing plan for the company.
Ideally this person should possess working knowledge and experience in necessary graphic design programs such as InDesign, Photo Shop and Illustrator (All Creative Suite aspects a plus). Must be an email-marketing guru able to use Microsoft programs, email and internet. Must understand the value of sales strategy through sales database and other integrated marketing and customer service programs.
MUST be a go-getter with a leadership attitude. STRONG communication skills, assertiveness and an ability to MANAGE both people and large projects. Must be able to juggle and complete multiple tasks daily. MUST be a dynamic networker and community socialite capable of attending events, working the crowd and being a FACE of the magazines on a daily basis.
In addition, Photography, writing, editing, event and print design skills are a plus on candidate consideration.

This is a salary plus commission and override/full time in office job. However, no benefits package offered. Nights, overtime and weekend work will be expected as needed.
