Christmas 4 Kids Children’s Shopping @ WalMart

It is easy to forget that there are families in our communities who are less fortunate. It is sometimes a struggle to survive and many have no hope of providing extras (like toys) for Christmas. That is where YOU & Christmas 4 Kids comes in. We are the children’s hope. We can show them that SOMEONE does care!

Each child receives a coat and is taken to Walmart for a $150 shopping spree to spend however they choose!

Alive Hospice Hendersonville Lunch and Learn: Advanced Care Planning in 7 Steps @ Alive Hospice Hendersonville

Join us for another great Lunch and Learn on Thursday, December 14, 2017. 12pm-1pm at Alive Hospice Hendersonville (230 New Shackle Island Road Suite 150 Hendersonville TN) This month’s program will discuss Advance Care Planning in 7 Steps. Community Relations Manager, Keith T. King, will discuss the importance of Advance Care Planning in conjunction with The Gift Iniative Books. These books will be provided at no charge and extras will be availble. Come learn about the importance of Advance Care Planning – ensuring your wishes will be respected and known by loved ones. As always, lunch will be provided and parking is free! Everyone is welcome and tell a friend…then tell two more.

The Miss Gallatin Scholarship Organization is a preliminary local pageant to the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant (Miss America Organization). Divisions include Miss Gallatin, Miss Sumner County, Miss Gallatin Outstanding Teen, and Miss Gallatin Iris Teen. The pageant will begin at 7pm. Categories include:

Wreaths Across America – Gallatin

Remember. Honor. Teach. On Saturday, December 16, we will place wreaths on veteran gravestones at Nashville National Cemetery.

If you would like to donate, please donate Under the Patriot Guard Riders, we get 3 for the price of 2! Our code is TN0055. IF you need a grave specific with your donation under this code, please send your information & grave specific to the coordinator, with a copy of your donation receipt, let the coordinator know if you plan on being there to lay your grave specific Wreath.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Ceremonies around the world will be starting at the same moment, so please be on time.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as “how” they should be placed.

Donations are due no later than Monday, Nov. 28. The City will order as many wreaths as donations allow. Then join us on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at the City Cemetery for the Wreaths Across America ceremony. The American Legion and volunteers will help lay the wreaths and assist with the ceremony. Winter Hike at Bledsoe Creek @ First Presbyterian Church (carpooling location)

Sumner Trails Chapter of Tennessee Trails will lead a 3.5 mile hike in Bledsoe Creek State Park. This hike is rated Easy to Moderate –  this is a loop trail which will take us alongside Old Hickory Lake and then on a high ridge back to the visitors center – there is one short steep section with steps up to the ridge. Meet for carpooling at First Presbyterian Church, 172 West Main Street in Hendersonville at 9 AM or at the park visitors center @9:45. For further info contact Lea at 615-289-4842.
