Bloomin’ Bash @ Long Hollow Gardens

With a new venue, a new theme, and renewed excitement, United Way of Sumner County is pulling out all the stops to produce a spectacular night of fun and fundraising at the 2018 Bloomin’ Bash gala and auction on Friday night, March 2, 2018, in Gallatin.

Presented by TriStar Health, Sumner Regional Medical Center, and ITW (CIP & Dynatec), The Bloomin’ Bash will feature dinner, music, lively dancing, and an amazing array of auction items, all to benefit the programs of United Way of Sumner County.

The Bloomin’ Bash will take place at the Long Hollow Gardens on Long Hollow Pike in Gallatin, a modern event venue with transparent ceilings surrounded by authentic botanical beauty.

The night begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m., and continues until 10 p.m. with music, dancing, and auctions. Admission is $75 each, and you can buy your tickets online by CLICKING HERE! Tables will seat up to 8 people, so call your friends and plan for a great night!

Women Building the Community @ The Club at Fairvue Plantation

The purpose of the event is to bring awareness to the impact that women bring to the community, including advocating for affordable housing for low-income families in Sumner County.

The event will include: highlights from the 2017 Women Build, giveaways, the hammering contest, and introduction of the 2018 Women Build homeowner.

Light appetizers and drinks will be served; cash bar available. All are welcome!

(Admission includes 2 tickets for giveaway drawings; additional drawing tickets can be purchased for $5 each.)

Gallatin Shamrock Run 5k & 10k @ Calvin Short Field

The Gallatin Shamrock Run is presented by the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce to benefit the Gallatin Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. Proceeds from this event fund innovative educational programs for students K-12 in the City of Gallatin.

Join us for a fun run through Historic Downtown Gallatin, Tennessee. This primarily flat course is great for runners and walkers of all ages and ability. The 10K participants will run the 5K course twice. All participants must complete the race by 9:00am. The roads will open back up at 9:15am.

(This event is Rain or Shine and is Non-refundable.)

Prizes will be awarded to top finishers male and female, and awards will be given for the best St. Patrick’s Day costume and the most team spirit.

County Sumner Irish Festival @ Bledsoe's Fort Historical Park

Celebrate the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day at the County Sumner Irish Festival!

Live Irish music will be performed outdoors by Kettle of Fish and the Belmont Trio! (Bring chairs and/or blankets to watch from the lawn.) Beer will be on tap and for purchase from Half Batch Brewing (who will be serving up a special Irish brew)! Food will be available from the food trucks Delaney’s Street Eats and Banjo’s!
Tours will be given of the Rogan cottage, an authentic Irish dwelling built c.1800! Irish ghost stories will be told from the porch of the Parker cabin by Brian Allison, author of the book Murder & Mayhem in Nashville. Guided hikes of the Bledsoe Fort Historical Park trail will be led at the top of each hour.
Performers from the Nashville Irish Step Dancers will perform at 11:30am.
The Nashville Gaelic Athletic Club will led exhibition games of hurling and Gaelic football beginning at noon!
A costume contest will be held for the best festive outfits and prizes will be awarded at 1pm!
Easter Bunny Arrival & Egg Hunt @ RiverGate Mall

Hunt for Eggs, Take pics with the Easter Bunny and get crafty at the 4th Annual Easter Bunny Arrival!

The event will begin at 12 p.m. with an Easter Egg Hunt for ages 0-12 . Registration for the egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. at the Smart Buys Furniture Entrance (near Gloria Jean’s Coffee). 

There will be 8,000 candy and toy-filled eggs divided into different sections of the mall for different age groups to hunt for eggs. The age groups are divided; 0-5,
6-8, and 9-12. Upon registration, participants will receive a wristband and card for the correct area to go to for specific age group.

Following the egg hunt, the rest of the activities will be at Center Court by the Easter Bunny House. 

Activities include:

  • Photos with the Easter Bunny
  • Magic Show with Magic Wayne beginning at 1:00 p.m.
  • Home Depot Kid’s Workshop
  • Face painting
  • Balloon Artist

Please dress in layers for variable spring weather, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Work gloves, drinking water, and proper foot wear are also recommended.
