Salty Dog Festival
Sep 9 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Formerly known as the Arts, Antique and Music Festival the newly named festival is still the same great festival you have always known. You can still expect lots of great art, antiques, craft vendors, music, food trucks, kid friendly activities, and more.

How to festival recieved its new name:
The festival committee decided for the name change to incorporate the salt licks that were very involved in the history of Goodlettsville. Kasper Mansker discovered the salt licks while following buffalo and wild game which lead to him establishing a trading post here in the Goodlettsville Area. So, that is where the “Salty” comes in.

As far as the dog portion, the committee felt like many people bring their dogs to festivals and events such as ours because today’s population are huge dog lovers. This should bring in more families, and shoppers for the craftsmen. Vendors and craftsmen will always be a priority and by adding other fun activities it’s a win for everyone.

Relay For Life of Southern Sumner @ Volunteer State Community College
Sep 23 @ 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Relay For Life of Southern Sumner @ Volunteer State Community College | Gallatin | Tennessee | United States

Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don’t stop because they’re tired, and for one night, neither do we.

Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal.
