The Bison Quarterback Club will be hosting the fourth annual Bison Stampede 5K/10K on Saturday, April 7, at 7:30 a.m. at Station Camp High School.
The Bison Stampede 5K/10K is a main fundraiser for the Station Camp High School football team.
This race will be a certified course with chip timing and runners will have no shortage of motivation and support as our highly enthusiastic football team will be cheering on participants throughout the course.
This event is a good tune-up for the Nashville Marathon, which is just three weeks later.
Cost for runners/walkers age 18 and over is $25 for the 5K, $30 for the 10K and $15 for 18 and under for both races.

On April 7, 2018, the Mid-Tenn. Perennial Plant Society will once again offer you the most beautiful, most diverse, and healthiest garden plants in Tennessee at The PPS Plant Sale. The annual event, which begins at 9:00 a.m. at The Fairgrounds Nashville, is a great place to get the jump on summer with new plant varieties or to replace the beloved favorites you lost to this cold, cold winter.
The Sale, now in its 27th year, is one of the largest sales in Tennessee and supports local scholarships for Tennessee horticulture students and free public gardening programs at Cheekwood every month.
Admission to the sale is free; Metro charges $5 for parking. No carts, strollers or pets, please.
The Perennial Plant Society of Middle Tennessee promotes the use of perennial plants in the landscape and offers education to local gardeners and scholarships to area horticulture students. The annual plant sale is the group’s major source of funding for these activities. The group holds free monthly education meetings, which are open to the public. The 7th Infantry and Cragfont invites join them for thei special event: “Elevate Those Guns A Little Lower!” A War of 1812 Camp of Instruction. The title is taken from a remark supposedly uttered by General Andrew Jackson during the Battle of New Orleans.
The location is Historic Cragfont, home of General James Winchester. Cragfont is located in Castalian Springs, TN. This incredible venue played host to the event back in 2016.
There will be intense study and drill for the soldiery, classes for the distaff side, a period dance, and an elegant tea in the formal parlor.
Don’t forget for after hours: “Curmudgeons Tavern: Where There Ain’t No Social Activities! Just Marchin’ and Drillin’!” as well as the 7th INF HQ Assembly which is open for the refined among you.

Square Fest (April 28) is an annual spring event in Downtown Gallatin. Though it is a young event, it has grown in size to over 150 vendors and in excess of 15,000 visitors. Square Fest is a rain or shine event. The event is primarily an arts and crafts festival, however, a large variety of food, several non-profits, two stages of entertainment and a large children’s area also contribute to the festival.
The 29th Annual Golf Classic will be a great day of golf and networking, followed by an awards ceremony in the main ballroom of the clubhouse. Registration will begin at 10:00am in front of the Clubhouse. Lunch will be served between 10:30am and 11:45am, with our shotgun start beginning promptly at noon.

As our largest fundraiser, the Great Futures Gala supports the more than 4,000 kids we serve annually at nine Boys & Girls Clubs across middle Tennessee.
The Great Futures Gala is an evening of Hollywood glamour, fine dining, and an auction experience. Our Gala features a live and silent auction of more than 200 items – from Nashville-made products to international trips. With over 500 notable guests, our Gala is truly a night to remember. Special guests have included: Shaquille O’Neal, Martin Short, Rob Lowe, Dylan McDermott, Martin Sheen, and Dick Vitale. The 7th Annual Great Futures Gala will take place on May 5, 2018, at Omni Nashville Hotel, with special guest, Brad Paisley! Strawberry Slam Wrestling Event featuring Jerry “The King” Lawler to kick off the Strawberry Festival’s weekend festivities is happening Friday, May 11th at Portland High School in Portland, TN. Doors open at 6:30pm with the event beginning at 7:30pm.
