The show, which is free to the public, takes place at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park on New Year’s Eve. Keith Urban, Styx, A Thousand Horses, Moon Taxi, Charlie Worsham, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers are playing the 2016 event.
The event site opens at 4pm on December 31. Plan to visit partner exhibits and vendor booths throughout the day. Raising of the music note starts around 6:15pm.

City Winery NYE Party with Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives @ City Winery
Dec 31 @ 7:00 pm – 11:45 pm

Join Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives on New Year’s Eve for their early or late show to ring in the New Year!

If you were to give country music an address, you might say it’s at the corner of sacred and profane, two doors up from the blues and folk, and just across the street from gospel, R&B and rock ‘n’ roll. And on a deeper emotional and spiritual level, it resides where Saturday night meets Sunday morning.

Millersville Bluegrass Jam @ Millersville Community Center
Jan 6 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The Millersville Bluegrass Jam is an evening of traditional bluegrass and folk music.  The event is free to the public and held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.

For nearly twelve years, the Millersville Bluegrass Jam has entertained fans with performers ranging from up and coming new bands to the incredible Roni Stoneman of Hee Haw and Grand Ole Opry fame.  Acclaimed by bluegrass fans throughout the region, the Jam offers quality family entertainment for all.  In its continuing effort to preserve the cultural history of bluegrass music, the Jam was nominated for the 2003 “Folk Life Heritage Award,” a Governor’s Award in the Arts.

Refreshments are available for purchase. Come ready for dancing, but no worries, there are benches and cover grassy area in the back for those who want to kick back and enjoy the music!

Don’t forget to bring your own instruments if you want to jam! Jammers and pickers are indeed welcomed. At any given time, there should be enough jammin’ circles where everyone feels a comfort level in joining. No one should feel over- or under- whelmed! We’re just glad to have you!
