Wholesale Inc. and Volunteer State Bank are working together to Drive Out Hunger on October 15th at the Drive Out Hunger Family Fest and Food Drive, sponsored by Holder Family Fun Center and Wholesale Inc. The event will include food trucks, live music from local band Hoffman, bounce houses, face painting and a local business showcase. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Holder Family Fun Center. Several community organizations will be joining the event, including the Hendersonville Fire Department.
Girl’s Day Out is back and is going to be even bigger and better than last time. It will be an indoor/outdoor event with even more vendors for a truly unique shopping experience. As always, the event is free so grab your girls and treat yourself to a day full of shopping and FREE WINE TASTING! We can’t wait to see you there!

On Sunday, October 16, Wynnewood will be flush with our own volunteers in Civil War dress, due to an expected visit from General John Hunt Morgan’s cavalry troops (another group of re-enactors). Based on a true to life incident that took place at Wynnewood during the Civil War and documented by one of the Wynne daughters in her diary.

Historic Wynnewood presents a historic speaking series titled “If These Logs Could Talk” on the third Sunday of every month from April-October at 2:00pm.
The third Sunday programs are free with the regular cost of admission. If you do not want to tour the house, the price for the historic speaker program is $5 per person. The house will be open from 10:00am-4:00pm so there will be plenty of time before and after the speaker for a tour. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on during the speaking event.
Men Making Money is all about making connections with other business leaders in our community. Dale Earnhardt Jr’s Nationwide NASCAR will be on site for photo ops and the NASCAR simulator as well. The cost is $25 and includes dinner by Shane’s Ribshack and of course beer.
The Gallatin Chamber of Commerce is rolling out the red carpet for their 95th Anniversary Membership Celebration at the Palace Theater on October 20th! Reservations are required – tickets are $30 and $40 following October 3rd.
Sisters in the Name of Christ Inc is a 501c3 charitable organization that serves as a women’s ministry throughout Middle TN. This is our annual fundraiser luncheon for women which serves to celebrate, empower, and encourage women of all ages in the Middle Tennessee area.
Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary is presenting the second annual Rescue Me! 5K/1Mile race.This race/walk, like all races presented by Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary is an animal friendly event! We have received tremendous positive feedback from competitive runners, weekend warriors, and families, who appreciate being able to bring their furry friend(s) with them to participate in a 5K or 1 Mile walk.
This year, the Rescue Me! 5k will take runners down the Hendersonville Greenways Trail. The trail mixes areas shaded by towering trees with wide open spaces receiving full sunlight. The portion of the trail being used for this event is paved and there are moderate elevation changes.
Participants will start on the trail next to the Hendersonville Public Library. The course will take runners and walkers west, passing under Indian Lake Blvd. and following the trail behind the Aventura Apartments towards Saundersville Rd. There will be a turnaround point before Saundersville Rd. where participants will return to the finish line at the Hendersonville Public Library.
On You Mark Timing will return as the official timer for this event. This year the race will be timed with chip timing. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers. The first 75 registrants will be given a personalized Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary swag bag with treats for you and your pet. All participants will be provided with water and a post-race snack.
