Join us as we kick off the holiday shopping season at Jingle Mingle. There will great merchants offering their finest from jewelry, clothing and home decor. Attendees will be pampered with massages, facials, makeovers and more. A Holiday Taste of White House will feature some of White House’s best eateries and caterers offering free samples of their fare. Great door prizes will be given away and the first 150 attendees will receive a free goodie bag full of gifts, coupons and useful information.
TWO NIGHTS of An “Appalachian Christmas” dinner at the historic Rock Castle hosted by HolidayFest and benefits Rock Castle Foundation on Monday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 15th. Famous Story Teller W,LEWIS BOLTON and Bluegrass Music with Susie Monick and friends.
Only 40 people per event. Tickets are $40 each. Guests will feast on a traditional Appalachian dinner complete with moonshine, wine and stack cake. An acclaimed storyteller will be telling tales and music will be provided by Bluegrass musicians.
This year’s annual Membership Dinner will be held at EPIC Event Centre in Gallatin. Chef Christopher has a delicious menu planned for this event! Our guest speaker will Dr. Derek Frisby, professor at Middle Tennessee State University. This year’s topic will be on the remains of US soldiers killed in the Mexican-American War returning home after 170 years. The cost is $40 per person. Held the third Saturday of November for the last 33 years, shoppers can register to win free prizes given away throughout the day. About 80 master craftsmen from all over Middle Tennessee will be selling unique treasures, collectibles, jewelry, stained glass, holiday decor, artwork, homemade soaps and lotions, baked goods, relishes and jams, embroidered items, and wood crafts.
Volunteer State Tellers celebrates its annual Tellebration. Featured storyteller, Ted Dreirer, founder Children’s Kindness Network presenting stories with his creation, Moozie the puppet. Ted received the Nashville Public Television, American Graduate Champion Award for his creation of Moozie programs to “stop bullying before it begins.” Also featuring family stories, funny and true, presented by: Volunteer State Tellers Bonnie Jannasch, Jane G. Marshall, and Shelley Gotterer, plus student tellers: Brandon Fontana and Savannah Ivey. Refreshments afterward.

Come join us for a 5 Mile & 5K Family event at The Streets of Indian Lake, Hendersonville, TN. The 5 Miler is a competitive race with timing and awards. The 5K is a non-competitive family fun run and walk.

The Bledsoe Creek State Park Manager will be conducting an approximate 2 mile hike that will begin with an interpretive program at our “Long Hunter” half shelters and French fur trade cabin. Please wear appropriate footwear for hiking.
