The purpose of Main Street Porch Fest is to showcase the community’s heritage, tell it’s history, honor it’s legends, and to cultivate the arts in order to promote tourism as well as have an economic impact on the community of Hendersonville and Sumner County. This event will include: vendor booths, car show, food trucks, kids zone, art show, and musicians on porches throughout the Hazel Path grounds. Main Stage will showcase our local Country and Gospel Legends during our 2 day event. Saturday, June 4, 2016 10am – 10pm Sunday, June 5,2016 11am – 6pm.

The camp is free and for ages 10 – young adult. It will be for individuals with and without disabilities. They will be making recycled art projects. In addition, making a tunnel book that will be presented to the National Parks for their 100th anniversary.

Join us for the FREE July Music on Main concert on Main Street in Portland, TN. The concert starts at 7pm and will feature The Wannabeatles. Bring a lawn chair & get ready for great entertainment. The 19th Alabama Civilian Corp re-enactors recreate daily life during the Civil War era wearing historically accurate costumes and using appropriate equipment.
Ticket includes the Civil War Museum filled with original, historic artifacts, clothing, military weaponry and equipment and numerous other Civil War-era pieces from the private collection of Lairdland Farm House owner, Don Rouleau. Also included is Lairdland Farm House’s original smokehouse and Traveler’s Cottage with historic artifacts and exhibits.

Vintage lovers, get your shopping on this weekend! Over 50 hand-selected arts and crafts vendors and junkers and live music will fill your weekend at this two-day event. The Hogslop String Band will be present, a Farmers Market, Tours of Cragfont, Food Trucks, an antique tractor display, fun for kids and much more!! So grab your partner and your truck and head on over to the fair to fill up on BBQ, fried pies, southern sounds and a pickers paradise!
A Breakfast for Princesses and Superheros. Young children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite princess or superhero to enjoy a meal fit for royalty. Live entertainment such as skits, storytelling and music will be provided, while Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and Spiderman and Batman will be on hand to interact with the children. A photo station will be set up so children will be able to get their pictures made with the characters before and after breakfast. Children under 1 year $5. General admission $10.
About The Organizer:
Community Childcare Services is a nonprofit 501c3 agency that provides quality, affordable childcare for low income families, who pay on a sliding scale basis. For the first time in several years, we will be holding a fundraiser to procure much needed funds to replace our HVAC system, and upgrade our playground to meet standards set by the State of Tennessee. Main St. Festival is an annual event in downtown Gallatin. The event has grown in size to over 200 vendors and in excess of 25,000 people. The Main St. Festival is a rain or shine event. You are invited to apply for our show. The event is primarily an arts and crafts festival; however, a large variety of food, several non-profits, live entertainment and a large children’s area also contribute to the festival.
